Diamond Eagle Award: The Savage Family Foundation

Event Chairs
Dana Loeb and Amy Levine ‘89

Each year Notre Dame Academy (NDA) hosts its signature scholarship fundraiser, Mad for Plaid This event supports scholarships and tuition grants for young women.  The event is hosted by the Office of Advancement and Alumnae Relations who serve as a vital link in connecting the school’s constituencies — alumnae, students, faculty, staff, parents, past parents, grandparents, community leaders, and friends.

The Diamond Eagle Award was established in 2010. The award is the highest honor bestowed by Notre Dame Academy. The Diamond Eagle recognizes distinctive support of Notre Dame Academy and the wider community. The Diamond Eagle carries with it the gratitude of the entire Notre Dame Academy.

The 2017 Diamond Eagle Award was given to Hal and Kelly Reed.

For me, it is an incredible privilege to teach and minister at NDA and to share the faith journey of so many of these beautiful young women.  NDA provides the best in academics, the arts, athletics, extra-curricular and service opportunities, but what really sets us apart is our commitment to our Catholic identity.  The faith formation of our students goes beyond what is learned in the classroom, to help them to become saints. We want them to know how immeasurably loved they are by God and to become all that God calls them to be – bold, brilliant, beautiful and blessed – women who will truly change the world.  –Kelly Reed, 2017 Diamond Eagle recipient and Chair of Notre Dame Academy Theology Department
