TUITION ASSISTANCE

Notre Dame Academy offers tuition assistance to families who apply for financial need through the FACTS grant & aid assesment and demonstrate financial need.

  • The following types of Financial Aid, all based upon demonstrated need, are available to students whose parents have completed the FACTS grant and aid assesment form and submitted a copy of their 2006 tax return.

The NDA Student Aid Board will then assess the FACTS results, determine financial aid and make awards to qualifying applicants.  Parents will be notified of the Financial Aid Commitee's decision.

FACTS Forms may be obtained in the NDA Business Office or in the main office.

  • FACTS Application must be accompanied by a $20.00 processing fee; personal checks or money orders should be made payable to FACTS and sent with your application directly to FACTS .

WORK STUDY PROGRAM
  • FACTS application required.  To be determined by Student Aid Board. Students who are part of the Work Study program work part-time after school or on Saturdays during the academic year, and/or for one week during the summer months. Earnings through the program are applied directly to the student's tuition payments.
  • Work Study gives the student the opportunity to help her family by working at NDA to help offset the cost of tuition.
NDA TUITION GRANT
  • The NDA Tuition Grant is offered to students who apply through FACTS and demonstrate financial need.  It provides additional funding to the Work Study Students. This tuition grant is awarded with the understanding that the student will complete Work Study Program hours required by the Work Study Program.
  • The NDA Tuition Grant is solely funded by Notre Dame Academy
THE TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (TAP)
  • This grant is offered to minority students attending NDA who apply for financial aid.
  • Funds for this program are provided by the Diocese of toledo and are based on the total number of students enrolled at NDA.
SCRIP Program
  • Families may earn tuition credits through the selling or purchasing of certificates for local retailers and restaurants through the NDA SCRIP Program.  For more information, please contact the school's SCRIP Coordinator, Deana Feeback,in the Business Office at 419.475.9359   Ext. 3125

SCRIP is an easy way to offset the expense of your daughter's tuition at no extra cost to you.  All you have to do is participate in NDA's SCRIP  Program to begin earning tuition $$$$$!!!!!   "SCRIP" is a form of "substitute money".  Gift certificates from local & national stores are purchased by you in advance of your shopping.  NDA is able to purchase the certificates at a discounted rate, and we will split the profit with you. Scrip is a great way to give gift certificates for any occasion.  Scrip can also be used for just about any household or personal purchase including food, clothing, gasoline, dining out and entertainment.

HELPFUL HINTS:

  • There are specific denominations in which SCRIP can be purchased, but there is not a minimum amount of certificates that you must purchase.

There are no requirements for ordering.  You can order as frequently or infrequently as you wish.

There are no restrictions.  Unless otherwise noted on the certificate, it can be used for the purchase of all store merchandise.  use the SCRIP just like cash; use coupons and purchase sale items

  • Some department stores will accept SCRIP as payment on your store accounts.  Call ahead to see if a particular store accepts the SCRIP as payment.
TUITION CREDITS
  • As you and your family buy SCRIP, NDA's Business Office will track your purchases in a specially designed database.  The system will automatically compute the amount of tuition credits you have earned & debit an account set up in your daughter's name.  Every quarter, the total tuition credits earned will be applied to your daughter's NDA tuition account.

If your family or friends order SCRIP, have them indicate your daughter's name at the top of the order form and she will receive the credit.

  • If you have already paid the present year's tuition, the tuition credits earned will be applied to next year's tuition.  WE CANNOT ISSUE CASH OR CREDIT REFUNDS

SCRIP FACTS
  • Some families have applied over $1000.00 towards tuition

Parents of 7th & 8th graders can begin earning tuition credits now!

  • Your participation in the program costs you nothing!
