CCHD PROJECT: POVERTY

In America today, 35.9 million people are living below the poverty line, 12.9 million are children. It is clear that poverty is a serious issue, yet many remain blind to this reality. For those living below that line, it is a very hard fact to forget, which is why the CCHD has organized the Multi-Media Youth Arts Contest and Program. Through this website, we hope to generate efforts towards helping those who are less fortunate, and for all who are trying to cope with this situation, we pray they find it empowering. Poverty is not a chronic condition. It can be ended if we are all willing to open our eyes, our hearts, and our minds to the reality of our world-and then do something!
