Farmers in Wisconsin open the door to hope:
In a farmland in Wisconsin a group of dairy farmers has united to start their own cooperative, Science Central. This group allows farmers to negotiate prices for the milk they work so hard to provide. This group also works to provide better economic opportunities for the whole region.

Today, Scenic Central has grown to more than 200 farmers.

A restaurant has a recipe for hope in New Orleans:
Everyone is aware of the damages that were caused by Hurricane Katrina not so long ago. People were affected mentally, physically and emotionally by this terrible disaster; everyone was in search of hope. A group of people organized a Café called Café Reconcile. Locals line up outside the door in search of being served hope. This is not only a café though, it is also a school where at-risk youth can find an alternative to life on the streets. This café works to help these youth to learn skills they need to find good jobs and build a future.

Volunteers in L.A. help children find "Safe Passage" out of poverty: In a corner of East Los Angeles where violence used to rule the streets, things have started to change now that hope has arrived. A place that was once feared by children walking home from school is now a place where they laugh and enjoy their walks home. A group was formed called the Safe Passage Campaign in which volunteers who have united to accompany the children everyday. Parents and residents watch the children and see them home. This has helped to ensure those children’s education, and has brought the community to a while altogether.
