Reflections
When people think of someone that is impoverished, they usually think of:
  • Alcoholics
  • Drug Users
  • Lack of ambition
  • Teenage Pregnancies
When people think like this, it's as if the they are a victim of poverty. CCHD wants to help change that thinking by making the impoverished empowered.
hanging on below the poverty line
The CCHD works to help teach skills to people living in poverty. They teach them things like typing and languages, things that would help them in the work force. Also, they work with children and teenagers to help them bring up their grades so they can break the cycle of poverty in their families.
