Campus Ministry Helps NDA Prepare for Christmas with Unique Advent Calendar

Thank you to Campus Ministry for  helping all of us at NDA prepare for the celebration of our Lord’s birth!

Beginning the Catholic Church’s liturgical year, Advent (from, “ad-venire” in Latin or “to come to”) is the season that includes the four Sundays (and weekdays) leading up to the celebration of Christmas. The Advent season is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Jesus’ second coming at the end of time and also to the anniversary of the Lord’s birth on Christmas. Each day during advent a treat, scripture, psalm, and or daily reminder to prepare for the celebration of Christmas is available to all students and staff. These sought after treasures go quick as everyone at NDA waits for the next day’s treasure to be available.
