Val Kimball Ullery '77- President
Rosanna Violi '03- President-Elect
Amy Langenderfer Connelly ’89- Secretary

Val Kimball Ullery ’77 has served one year as president of the Alumnae Association. Under her careful leadership, the association has had a successful year filled with new and creative ideas and initiatives, well-attended events, an exceptionally well-received reunion, and increased attendance at regular Alumnae Association meetings.

She has the gift of recognizing the needs of the broad alumnae community, ranging from recent graduates to those who attended the school on Bancroft, and those in between. “I like the current energy of the association and want to be part of a developing, ongoing and caring process,” Val said.

Val’s tireless involvement at NDA extends beyond her Alumnae Association work as she is also a current parent of Tori, a junior at NDA. She’s assisted with other school events like past Heart and Soul fundraisers. She works full time as the office manager of Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, in addition to numerous part-time ventures. She also supports her daughter, Olivia ’10 who is completing her freshman year at the University of Dayton.

She has agreed to serve in the same capacity for a second year pending the Association’s consent.

Rosanna Violi ’03 has served one year as president-elect with the Alumnae Association.  In addition to supporting the president, Rosanna has taken on two specific projects- membership and service. She has begun building a foundation for increasing and retaining active Alumnae Association members.

She also has researched, surveyed alums and begun to lay the foundation for service opportunities for alumnae in the Northwest Ohio community.

Rosanna graduated from John Carroll University in ’07 and spent a year of service in urban Portland, Oregon with a Jesuit ministry.  She is currently the assistant city administrator for Perrysburg Township.

At NDA, she was voted “most involved” as a senior and continues to hold that title with her involvement with the Alum Association, as well as speaking at incoming student functions and was the featured alumna speaker at the 2011 May Crowning.

Rosanna proudly proclaims her loyalty and dedication to NDA, she says, “As an alumna I would like to be a role model for current students to show them what a woman of vision means post-NDA.”

Rosanna has agreed to serve in the same capacity for a second year pending the Association’s consent.

Amy Langenderfer Connelly ’89 has been nominated for a one-year term for the secretary position with the Alumnae Association. She is currently the office manager at Renaissance Dermatology.

Amy has become more involved with NDA in the past year, volunteering at events and sharing her thoughts and insights at Alumnae Association meetings.

Her daughter, Alison, is finishing her freshman year at NDA, and she also has two more children, John, 18, a senior at St. Francis and Maureen, 9, who attends Haskins Elementary.

She is honored to be nominated to serve in a leadership capacity. “My connection to NDA did not end on graduation day.  I treasured my academic and social experiences and made life-long friends.  Being involved with the alumnae association is a way to continue with new experiences and meet new friends all within the Notre Dame family.”

Amy values all alumnae input, including recent graduates. “There are a number of things that talented, young alumnae can bring to the table, and there are a number of alumnae they can go to for support.”

Amy has agreed to serve in as the Alumnae Association’s secretary for a one year term, pending the Association’s consent.
