Eighth grade students were given a geological land form to research as their final assessment of their Geology Unit of study.  The project included creating a “before” model of the a part of the Earth’s crust, showing its original features before forces transformed the land into their Geological land form. The students were to take a photo of the model before changing the landscape, which was then displayed on their iPad at their area with their model.  Each student took a “gallery walk” around the room to look at their peer’s project to determine from the photo on the iPad and the resulting model, the destructive and constructive forces that were part of the creation of the land form.
